After three solid weeks of trudging up and down the east side of Manhattan searching for the perfect apartment, my friend and I finally found a place we can call home. And with glossy wood floors, a 13-foot ceiling, and an unobstructed view of the Chrysler building, we couldn’t be happier. Once the thick lease agreement was read and signed by all parties, a whirl of exciting questions erupted: How will we decorate our new pad? What color scheme will we use in the living room?
