Veterans Day Parade

November 12, 11 a.m.

The city’s 63rd annual parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Monday. All are welcome to attend.

 

Columbia

Veterans Day Parade

Veterans Monument, Hudson
November 11, 10:15 a.m.

Beginning in the morning on Sunday, the City of Hudson will host a full-day ceremony to honor the nation’s veterans. The community can attend the wreath-laying event, march in the parade, and listen to commemorative remarks from local officials.

Honor the individuals who served our country at the MIA/POW Park on Sunday morning.

Veterans Monument, Fishkill​
November 11, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

On Sunday, VFW Post 1286 will host a service of remembrance for the community.

 

Veterans Day Ceremony

Flag Plaza, Wappingers Falls
November 11, 1 p.m.

Venture to Wappingers for the town’s commemoration ceremony on Sunday afternoon. Hot cider and donuts will be served to those who attend.

November 11, 2-5 p.m.

Join the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the team at Mahoney’s for a dinner that honors local heroes who make it their mission to assist the region’s veterans.

Veterans Day Celebration

Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site, Newburgh
November 10, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Visit Washington’s headquarters in Newburgh for an afternoon of crafting and history. Attendees can make their own badge of military merit, then take a guided tour and explore the onsite exhibits.

 

 

Veterans Day Anniversary

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, New Windsor
November 11, 2-3 p.m.

Head to the New Windsor hall to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the armistice that ended the Great War.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Electriczone Field, Brewster
November 11, 11 a.m.

Join the American Legion Argonne Post 71 for a ceremony at 11 a.m., then move to the Elks Lodge on Route 22 for lunch and refreshments donated by ACME Supermarket of Brewster.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Stephentown Veterans Memorial Park, Stephentown​
November 10, 1 p.m.

On the Saturday before Veterans Day, locals are invited to honor those who have served at the Stephentown Veterans Memorial Park.

Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site, Hoosick Falls
November 11, 11 a.m.

Themed “Service Through the Centuries,” the commemorative service honors soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Presenters in costumed attire will be in attendance.

Veterans Ceremony and Breakfast

Street Community Center, New City
November 9, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Head to the Street Community Center on Friday morning for a combined ceremony and breakfast with guest speaker Susan Branam, a US Army veteran and the Director of the Rockland County Veterans Service Agency.

Veterans Day Concert

The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson​
November 11, 2 p.m.

Visit Bard College on Sunday to listen to the sounds of more than 40 professional airman-musicians who comprise the USAF Heritage of America Concert Band. The group will perform patriotic classics, jazz favorites, and Broadway hits throughout the afternoon.
