What’s the nation’s most lucrative holiday for candy sales? Halloween and Valentine’s Day may come to mind, but in fact, Easter takes the cake. If you’ve ever bitten head first into a big-eared chocolate bunny, you know why. But while you may gain a couple pounds this Easter, the good news is that you don’t need to spend upwards of $35,000 on a Faberge egg (or travel to the U.K.) to get your hands on the good stuff. These local chocolatiers and candy shops have all you need for a decadent, and celebratory, holiday ahead.

Keep it classic with solid, floppy-eared bunnies, or think outside the rabbit hole with chocolate-covered Peeps, an Alice in Wonderland-inspired shoe, or even two hardcore bunnies on the back of a Harley. Whatever you choose, it’s guaranteed to be organic, fair trade, and most certainly, good.

If you’ve permanently gone vegan (or ever tried to), you know that chocolate is by far one of the hardest things to give up. Luckily, Lagusta’s Luscious in New Paltz has you covered with fully vegan, fair trade, and organic Easter treats. Think pint-sized egg baskets, peanut butter and velveteen chocolate mousse-filled bunnies, and English cream eggs that are better (and far less sweet) than the Cadbury’s cult-favorite.

Here, chocolate bunnies range from 1 inch to 3 feet tall (just incase you’re feeling extra hungry), and jellybeans are sold by the pound. Can’t decide? Their Easter goody crate features chocolate covered Oreos, jellybeans, and solid bunnies made two ways.
