Need a break from all the holiday shopping? Make some time to unwind and enjoy the sounds of the season at one of the many festive concerts along the Hudson RiverWith so many magnificent performances planned in the Hudson Valley over the next few weeks, pick a few and brush up your vocal cords. ‘Tis the season for caroling! 

 

Albany County 

Concert for Tots  

916 Western Ave, Albany 
December 15, 10:30 a.m. 

Start the morning off with a concert filled with holiday classics and festive children’s songs. The event is recommended for families with younger children, but everyone is welcome.   

 

 

Helderberg Madrigal Singers at Ten Broeck Mansion  

9 Ten Broeck Pl, Albany 
December 15, 5 p.m.  

While you enjoy music by the Helderberg Madrigal Singers, take a walk through Ten Broeck Mansion to see the spectacular Christmas decorations. As a bonus, coffee and desserts will be served.  

 

Dutchess County 

Holiday Concert by Hudson Valley Folk Guild 

1 Church St, Hyde Park 
December 14, 8 p.m. 

There are multiple performers at this annual holiday concert, so be prepared for a full show. In addition to musical guests, Steve Allen will perform a holiday spoken word.  

 

Winter Songfest 

30 Campus Rd, Annandale-On-Hudson 
December 15, 8 p.m.   

Bard’s Performing Arts department comes together for a holiday-themed night filled with classic works including Fantasia on Christmas Carols and excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker 

 

Orange County 

Maybrook Wind Ensemble Holiday Concert  

111 Schipps Ln, Maybrook 
December 14, 7:30 p.m.

The Newburgh Symphonic Chorale Holiday Concert 

Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh 
December 15, 4 p.m. 

Not only will this concert feature orchestrations of holiday classics, but solo artists will perform as well. At the end of the show the audience is encouraged to participate in the finale medley.  

 

Rockland County 

Sing We Enchanted Holiday Concert 

59 S Broadway, Nyack 
December 14, 7:30 p.m. 

Americans aren’t the only ones who celebrate Christmas by caroling; Europeans do it as well. During this concert, festive songs and melodies from Italy, France, Germany, England, and other places in Europe will be performed, along with American classics.  

 

Rockland County Choral Society Concert 

107 Strawtown Rd, West Nyack 
December 15, 4:30 p.m. 

Celebrate the holidays with the Rockland County Choral Society and welcome its new music director, Russell Wagoner. The program features choral works by Thompson, Villa-Lobos, Barber, Carmichael, Harline, and many more.
