8. Go Shopping at Woodbury Common
One of the few malls that requires a map to navigate, this sprawling outdoor complex of 220 factory outlet shops is a bargain-hunter’s dream come true. As a “premium” facility, Woodbury Common includes dozens of high-end retailers you won’t find at other discount malls; whether it’s a pair of Dolce & Gabbana spike heels, an Armani sports jacket, or a Prada clutch, you’ll find it here (along with TAG Heuer watches, Frette linens, Royal Doulton china, and just about anything else your heart desires). A popular destination for overseas travelers (who arrive from Manhattan by the busload), the site recently welcomed four new stores: fashion-forward clothiers Rock & Republic, Marni, and Superdry; and fragrance/skincare specialist Elizabeth Arden. Snag coupons and vouchers for additional savings by registering on the outlet’s Web site; shoppers over 50 enjoy an additional 10 percent off their purchases on Tuesdays at participating retailers.
