Two new eateries have popped up seemingly overnight in the village of Wappingers Falls. County Fare is a new comfort-food spot and beer garden (2652 E Main St, 845- 297-3300; facebook.com/countyfareny). Just steps away, Di’Vine Wine Bar has an appealing umbrella-filled patio overlooking Wappingers Creek where patrons snack off of cheese and charcuterie boards while sipping their favorite vintages. (1 Market St, 845-797-5635; facebook.com/thedivinewinebar)

Check out what’s playing at the snack bar of the Greenville Drive-In, a restored ’50s-era Catskill attraction in its first full season: Offerings include locally made spicy kimchee, just-picked veggies served with homemade hummus and chili, and garlicky pickle on a stick. In the beer garden, there’s a rotating selection of local brews, not to mention wine and vodka from KyMar in Schoharie County and Nine Pin Cider from Albany. (10700 NY-32, Greenville; 518-966-2177; www.drivein32.com)

Blink and you might miss Ziatun, a Middle Eastern bistro that’s vegan- and vegetarian-friendly. In this teeny, though atmospheric space, you’ll find not only all your old faves like kabobs, babaganoush, and hummus with pita, but also foule (fava beans with Arabic seasonings) and mujaddara (lentils with rice and caramelized onions). Try the rose-petal lemonade! (244 Main St, Beacon, 845-765-8268; ziatun.com).

Perch is the latest venture of Cathryn Fadde, owner of the wildly popular Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill in Cold Spring (Putnam). For a few months now, this newcomer has been wooing crowds with its char-broiled oysters and blistered shishito peppers. We love the summer Happy Hour $5 bar snacks.  (1 King St, Marlboro, 845-236-3663; www.perchmarlboro.com)

Quaff vinos from around the state while you feast on crabcakes, empanadas, and other delectables at the 6th Annual Putnam County Wine & Food Fest (August 6-7; 683 Rte 311, Patterson, 800-557-4185, ext 3; www.putnamcountywinefest.com)
