Since 1981, Grace Smith House has served as an open door to survivors of domestic violence and their families in Dutchess County and surrounding areas. With one in every four women – and one in every six men – affected by domestic violence, these services remain an unfortunate necessity in our community.
Grace Smith House provides a 24/hour anonymous hotline, shelter, transitional housing and non-residential services, legal advocacy and court assistance, support groups and counseling, trauma-informed services for children of all ages, and preventative education about teen dating violence and bullying in the local schools.
