Schoharie Easter Egg Exhibit

Schoharie’s Easter Egg Exhibit returns after a 10-year hiatus. More than 5,000 hand-decorated Easter eggs depict a Viennese ballet, presidents of the United States, and Egg Brothers’ Circus. Also available are eggs decorated with folk-art, as well as jeweled egg boxes. The event benefits the rebuilding of the Schoharie Free Library, which suffered damage during Hurricane Irene.

The new exhibit,  “Standing in Two Worlds: Iroquois in 2014”, showcases Iroquois art which explores contemporary issues including the environment, the digital/disposable age, the impact of national/international events and decisions and the role of tradition and community.  The Museum represents the world’s most comprehensive collection of modern Iroquois art.
