Nov 20, 2019
06:30 PM until 07:30 PM

Description

How are we keeping endangered wildlife healthy in their native habitat? On Wednesday, November 20, veterinarian Dr. Deborah McCauley will discuss her crucial work with endangered wildlife all over the world.

Pace's Biology Department and the Dyson College Institute for Sustainability and the Environment (DCISE) are bringing wildlife veterinarian Deborah McCauley to Pace's Pleasantville Campus to discuss her work with endangered wildlife in North America, Africa, and Asia and how she has been helping to develop sustainable disease surveillance and wildlife health programs, with the emphasis on saving endangered wildlife and training local wildlife professionals.

From Yellowstone to the Himalayas, wildlife veterinarian Dr. Deborah McCauley is on a mission to protect endangered animals all over the world. She’s the founder and executive director of VIEW, a non-profit conservation organization that began in response to the growing threat of disease transmitted by domestic animals and humans to endangered wildlife.
