This event occurs weekly, on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Emerge Gallery is pleased to present Abstrakt: A Group Exhibition of Abstract Art from July 7-30, 2018. The exhibition includes work by forty four artists that create a wide range of abstract work using various mediums— acrylic, drawings, encaustic, mixed media, monoprints, oil, pastel, photography, and sculpture. A public opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 5-8 PM. All are welcome. There will also be a preview during Saugerties First Friday on July 6, 2018. Artwork in the exhibition will be available to view and purchase online at

Abstrakt includes work by former ballet dancer Gertrude Abramson who mingles with the abstract in her series of pastel works influenced by the physicality of the wave washing over an object;  architecture student Katie Hoffstatter uses a 3-D modeling process to bring awareness to the human impact on our planet and explores turning mundane “trash” into art; photographer Joan Barker uses a long exposure to capture the image 15 Seconds of Snow In Wind At Night while jd weiss uses medium format film and combines it with digital and hand painted elements in her photographs; art therapist Wendy Moss — inspired by Kandinski for his fervor, Miro for his fanciful shapes and Klee for his whimsy — honors the masters through her solar panels; and Nadine Meyers Saitlin creates seductive surfaces and provocative forms on 3-D natural gourds in her Painted Vessels series.

Additional artists include Loel Barr, Jeff Benjamin, Irwin Berman, Natalie Boburka, Diane Christi,     Arabella Colton, Theresa Landi Daniel, Shelley Davis, Melanie Delgado, Chris Ernst, Joe Finkler, Debra Friedkin, Lynne Friedman, Andrea Geller, Patti Gibbons, Madlyn Goldman, Cali Gorevic, Robert Greco, Betty Greenwald, Janet Gunderson, Tom Hackett, Kathleen Heron, Martha Hill, Annette Jaret, Hilary Lander, Dorothea Marcus, Lynne McCreary, Ellen McKay, Ann Morris, Richard Morris, Suzanne Parker, Deborah Ramsden, Barri Rifkin, Roberta Sickler, Jane Soodalter, Charlotte Tusch, Robert Toyokazu Troxell, and Carl Voegtling.
