This event occurs weekly, on Monday.
Tompkins Corners Cultural Center offers Actors' Workshops on Monday evenings at 7:30, beginning on Monday, September 24th.
Judy Allen, actor, director and theatre teacher, whose credits include off-Broadway, regional theatre and a five-year residency at La MaMa ETC, will lead the workshops, which will focus on scene study, monologues and possibly even songs.
“I studied and worked with great teachers and directors, and I want to pass on some of the skills I learned,” said Ms. Allen. “Actors are always seeking to hone and improve their craft. And whether you are a professional or community theatre actor, it’s always possible to find something new to inspire your work and make you better.”
The workshops will be offered at no charge, though the participants will be encouraged to donate $5 each time to cover the costs of the Center. Anyone who is interested is asked to email email@example.com with “Actors Workshop” in the subject line, or leave a message at 845 528-7280.
