Arts on the Lake is pleased to welcome back award-winning international storyteller Andy Offut Irwin for an evening of stories, laughs, and even some whistling. Don't miss this performance of Squeaky on the Roof where Irwin continues his tales of his devilishly funny cast of characters from south of the Mason Dixon line. Irwin’s family friendly stories often feature the adventures of his 85-year-old -newly-minted-physician-aunt, Dr. Marguerite Van Camp, a keen observer of human behavior and an inveterate practical jokester, who keeps her finger on the pulse of the changing world around her as she seeks to grow – even at her advanced age – in the New South.

Irwin has won several awards, including the 2013 National Storytelling Network’s ORACLE Circle of Excellence Award, the 2001 Sammy Clark Award for Exemplary Teaching and Service, the 2017 National Parenting Product Award, and several Storytelling World Awards.  A highly sought after storyteller, he performs regularly throughout the country and has been a Featured Teller at the National Storytelling Festival, (which Irwin refers to as the “Super Bowl” of storytelling), nine times.
