Learn how to create eye-catching posters about issues you believe in! Create a work that explores the idea of doing one thing to make the world a better place. You could fill a need, address a problem, offer a solution or change a behavior.
Working in the style of the WPA (Works Progress Administration which created posters to publicize free resources, national parks, arts and culture as well as health and educational programs), participants will create an original poster design advocating a singular positive change.
Participants will learn how to create a bold visual statement using a 4-color design with stencils and basic painting techniques. All materials are included but participants are encouraged bring images of their ideas to the workshop.
Those participants who are interested are invited to display their original posters in Gallery Two at RoCA May 4-7, 2019.
