There’s a whole lot more than movies on tap at the Greenville Drive-In this year. Kicking off the 2016 season is a festive opening party and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the venue’s new Projectionists Club — a traditional biergarten featuring locally produced beer, wine and spirits, ample outdoor seating, and a stage for live music.
A screening of the romantic comedy classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s, freshly shucked oysters, fine Champagne, and live music fill out the bill.
Schedule: Projectionist Club opens at 5 p.m. Party at 7 p.m. includes an oyster-shucking demonstration by award-winning shucker Ian Wile, six freshly shucked oysters prepared to order (or a shrimp cocktail), two glasses of exceptional Gimmonet Gonet Champagne, and other assorted snacks. Noted South African jazz vocalist Vuyo Sotashe performs from 7-8:30 p.m. Screening begins at 8:45 p.m. Bar and concessions area will be open.
