Cristina Biaggi, Ph.D is an artist with an intellect that knows no limits. Her artwork—from abstract collages to figurative bronze busts to larger constructs—are explorations of the interaction of the natural world and the divine working throughout and within. Tapping into her knowledge of prehistory and Goddess religions of old, Dr. Biaggi has made it her life’s work to educate and illuminate the public of ancient sacred forms that cross time and inform how we live and relate to each other and to the natural world that surrounds us.
Much of Dr. Biaggi’s works are included in notable private collections in the U.S. such as Elizabeth Sackler in Brooklyn, NY; Jane Fonda in CA, and Sean Scully and Liliane Tomasko in NY. She has also worked on a number of portrait commissions both in the U.S. and in Europe.
Inside the Artist Studio is Sunday, June 10. All proceeds benefit RoCA’s exhibitions and educational programs. For more information visit www.rocklandartcenter.org or call 845-358-0877 to purchase a ticket.
