Poetry Reading with Phyllis Carito MFA

Dean Emerita of Columbia-Greene Community College Phyllis Carito, MFA, will read from her latest book of poems titled The Stability of Trees in the Winds of Grief on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Carito, who continues to teach creative writing at C-GCC, has been published in several literary reviews, including Stone Highway Review, Passager Journal, Inkwell Review, Voices in Italian Americana, Fired Up! (Berkshire Women’s Writers) Oasis Journal, Vermont Literary Review, and Returning Woman Review. She has also penned a novel, Worn Masks, and a chapbook titled barely a whisper.

Published by Finishing Line Press, The Stability of Trees in the Winds of Grief is a collection of verse exploring a mother’s loss.

A discussion and book signing will follow the reading, which will be held in the Saland Forum in the Professional Academic Center on the C-GCC campus. Admission is free.
