This event occurs monthly, on the second Sunday of March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December.
Tompkins Corners Cultural Center will present its inaugural open mic for poetry and spoken word event, open to the public.
As part of TCCC’s ongoing community outreach, “Poets’ Corner” will be a new local venue and welcoming home for writers of all types. Professionals and new writers alike will have a venue and audience to hear their work.
On the second Sunday of each month, featured poets will open the event by reading their work. Following our feature, we will open the mic for poets in attendance who have come to read.
March 10th will feature four seasoned poets: David Hull, Jim Garber, Christopher Pinky Gazeent and Maureen Winzig. Each will read briefly as an introduction of themselves as hosts for the events to come.
Light refreshments will be served, and contributions encouraged.
