Tompkins Corners Cultural Center presents its regular open mic for poetry and spoken word event, open to the public.
As part of TCCC’s ongoing community outreach, “Poets’ Corner” will be a local venue and welcoming home for writers of all types. Professionals and new writers alike will have a venue and audience to hear their work.
On the second Sunday of each month, featured poets will open the event by reading their work. Following our feature, we will open the mic for poets in attendance who have come to read.
April is National Poetry Month! Come out and read your work at Tompkins Corners NEW Poets' Corner Open Mic. This month we have a wonderful featured poet, Robert Milby. After our feature we open the mic for all who care to read.
Robert Milby, of Florida, NY, has been reading his poems, in public since March 1995, and hosts four Hudson Valley poetry readings. He has published several books of poetry, and two CDs. Milby is the Poet Laureate of Orange County, NY May, 2017- November, 2019.
