Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening of RECAP’s Mill Street Café
Ribbon Cutting promptly at 12:00
RECAP’s Mill Street Cafe is a workforce training program for people who are unemployed, underemployed, on public benefits or recently released from incarceration. The full service café site provides participants real world experience in food service, menu planning, budgeting, catering, and operating a small business, as well as soft skills and resume and job interview prep. An on-staff job developer helps trainees apply for and maintain employment
Mill Street Café is RECAP’s third workforce training site. Fresh Start Cafe operates at 280 Broadway in Newburgh and a second cafe in Middletown serves a homeless shelter.
Since 1965 RECAP has been providing services to seniors, veterans, children and their families, victims of domestic violence, those living with HIV/AIDS, those with substance use disorder and people challenged with income security in Orange County.
The event is free. Registration is required as lunch is provided. Register online: http://web.orangeny.com/events/RECAPs-Mill-Street-Cafe-Ribbon-Cutting-5972/details
