Columbia-Greene Community College to Host Multi-faceted Community Event


HUDSON, N.Y. – Just prior to the Fall 2019 semester, Columbia-Greene Community College was named the best community college in New York State, and the tenth-best in the country*.

To celebrate this achievement and show Columbia and Greene counties why “CoGreene Rocks,” a multi-pronged college- and community-event has been planned for Saturday, Oct. 19, on campus.

This full day of activities will include:


Fall College Open House — 10 a.m. — 12 p.m.

The day begins with our Fall Open House where all students and families are invited to learn more about our campus, academic programs, career pathways, and more. Call at (518) 828-4181, ext. 3427 or e-mail for more information.

Hope Rocks Festival — 10 a.m. — 3 p.m.

Hope Rocks is a campus community connection event, raising awareness about suicide, addiction, mental illness, and the devastating effects of social isolation. This event will include a barbecue, service providers, speakers, musical performances, and other activities, and is open to the public.

Classic Car and Motorcycle Show — 11 a.m. — 3 p.m.

The C-GCC Criminal Justice Club is presenting a rain-or-shine classic car and motorcycle show; a $10 “Early Bird” Registration (by October 5 or earlier) is offered for participants, and food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
