Watercolors Art Exhibit by Stan Miller

Date/Time

Jul 1, 2019 to Jul 31, 2019
10:00 AM until 08:00 PM

Description

Early in Stan Miller's technical career, he realized he needed to counterbalance his very organized and rigid office work with activities that were more true to his nature. He was brought up in an alpine region surrounded by fantastic scenery. He began to love the outdoors and spent much of his free time hiking and photographing nature. After moving to the Hudson Valley, he had a chance encounter with the famous watercolor artist John Pike at Woodstock. Mr. Pike's artwork fascinated Stan, especially the transparency of the various layers of colon on white paper, and it looked deceivingly easy. Stan always had an interest in art but it was this event that started his passion for watercolor painting which has been a  challenging and often frustrating medium to handle. He paints for the pleasure he derives from creating his interpretation and impression of nature. Stan would like to thank all who come to view his exhibit.
