PDS STUDENT PRODUCING YOUNG ARTISTS’ CONCERT TO BENEFIT SCENIC HUDSON
Poughkeepsie Day School student Aidan Cuite ’18, of New Hamburg, is producing “Young Artists’ Benefit Concert for Scenic Hudson” on Sunday, May 7, beginning at 2pm, at Bowdoin Park, Pavilion 5, Wappingers Falls, NY. The family-friendly event will feature solo musicians and groups from Poughkeepsie Day School as well as talent from throughout the Hudson Valley including Half Moon Theatre School of the Arts Junior Company and vocalists Amelia Rose Allen (Storm King School) and Sam Levin (Cortland Manor). All funds raised will benefit Scenic Hudson, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Hudson River and the Hudson River Valley of New York State.
Jay Burgess, director of communications for Scenic Hudson, will provide opening remarks.
Says Aidan, “I am really excited that this concert is happening for the 3rd year. Many of the amazing musicians from last year are coming back and we have several new artists playing to help raise money for Scenic Hudson. We're all happy to do our part in keeping the Hudson River healthy and beautiful."
The suggested donation is $5 per person for admission. Hot Dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, popsicles, watermelon and chocolate chip cookies will be available for sale.
