Millerton Train Station, Millerton

One of Dutchess County’s renovated train stations

At one point, Metro-North’s Harlem Line extended all the way to Chatham — with a stop in Millerton. That station also served as a point where Harlem Line riders could transfer to the Central New England Railroad and points east and north. Passenger service ended there in 1972.

Today, that station houses a real estate office. But it’s not the only station in the cutesy town. An earlier Harlem line station also survives, although it was moved from its original location, and today is home to a florist’s shop.
