Lincoln Depot Museum, Peekskill

Honor our 16th U.S. president — and fittingly celebrate Presidents’ Day — at this annual event, jointly sponsored by the Lincoln Depot Museum and The Lincoln Society in Peekskill. The program includes a reenactment of Lincoln’s speech to the citizens of Peekskill on February 19, 1861. A discussion will follow by historian and professor Charles B. Strozier, whose recently published book — Your Friend Forever, A. Lincoln — will be available for purchase.

The Lincoln Depot Museum is a 3,000-square-foot freight and passenger rail depot where President Abraham Lincoln stopped to greet Westchester County residents during his inaugural train ride between Springfield, IL, and Washington, D.C.
