I Do Recall…

Some important information on a product recall

Bloops! Looks like Hyland’s — manufacturers of homeopathic remedies for babies and kids — has had to recall their popular Teething Tablets. The company is voluntarily recalling six batches after the report of some adverse reactions led to an investigation which left questions as to the uniformity and safety of the manufacturing process. The company issued the following statement in regards to the recall:

“We initiated this voluntary recall to ensure our consumers know that their families’ safety and health are our top priorities,” said Mark Phillips, PharmD, President and Chief Pharmacist of Standard Homeopathic Company. “We are committed to maintaining and deserving the trust they have placed in Hyland’s. We have worked for 107 years to build relationships with our consumers. We intend to preserve that tradition of trust.”

If this leaves you freaked out and not wanting to use Hyland’s, try Camilia, another homeopathic teething remedy. Made by Boiron, you can find it at most health food stores in the area. In my experience it is just as effective as Hyland’s.
