Amedeos has been a staple on busy Route 55 since 1989. Last year, owner Patrick Amedeo — at one time an architectural designer — moved into a new Tuscan-inspired building he helped plan. Hallmarks of the new digs were the custom-made, hand-built, wood-fired brick ovens, just perfect for turning out authentic Neopolitan pizza: thin crust, San Marzano tomatoes, Grana Padano cheese... are you hungry yet? The trattoria does traditional pies, too — with all the toppings you could ask for — as well as pasta, panini, and salads.
