About: No matter what the weather, you can get your helping of local items -- from jam to jewelry -- at this year-round market featuring more than 50 vendors. Every Saturday, downtown Troy turns into a festive affair of music, activities, and, of course, booths displaying the finest in local produce, crafts, and dry goods. From November to April, the market is held in the Uncle Sam Atrium, but when the temperature goes up the vendors and the massive crowds move down to the waterfront. So the next time you're in the Capital Region, be sure to stock up on fresh, locally grown vegetables, cheese, meat, soup, berries, honey, maple syrup, herbs, potted plants, pastries, and hand-crafted soaps and lotions.
