Dining at The Culinary Institute of America is a culinary adventure like no other. The stunning campus, high above the Hudson River, provides the perfect backdrop for a unique dining experience. At the world’s premier culinary college offering associate and bachelor’s degree programs in culinary arts and baking and pastry arts, CIA students cap their education with real-world experience in the college’s five, award-winning restaurants. Under the guidance of expert chef-instructors, students provide delicious and elegant food prepared to the highest standards. It’s an experience not to be missed! While reservations are usually in demand, there is almost always room for more. To ensure your place at the table, make reservations by calling 845-451-6608, (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or make reservations online.

American Bounty Restaurant—Celebrating its 30th Anniversary

The cultural heritage and regional diversity of foods of the Americas (North, Central, and South) is brought to life in the imaginative cuisine at this award-winning restaurant. In addition, Bounty highlights the culinary riches of the Hudson Valley. The ever-popular restaurant has earned the prestigious Restaurant & Institutions Ivy Award. Apple Pie Bakery Café—Sweet and Savory Café Cuisine

The Apple Pie Bakery Café showcases the talents of the CIA’s baking and pastry arts students and faculty, and features sumptuous baked goods and café cuisine. The full menu is available for takeout or to enjoy in the relaxed, reservation-free dining area. The Café was voted “Best Desserts” and “Best Lunch Spot” in Hudson Valley magazine’s annual “Best of the Hudson Valley” awards. You’ll find the café on the first floor of Roth Hall. Escoffier Restaurant–Contemporary French Cuisine

At the Escoffier Restaurant, French recipes are prepared true to the principles of legendary chef Auguste Escoffier, but with a contemporary touch. The Ivy Award-winning restaurant features an á la carte menu representing the culinary traditions of the regions of France—from rustic Provençal to sophisticated Parisian—all served with a beautiful and authentic presentation. Escoffier Restaurant was named “Best Dutchess County Restaurant” in Hudson Valley magazine’s “Best of the Hudson Valley” awards. Experience Escoffier by taking an online tour.

Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici—Authentic Italian

You’ll feel like you’re visiting Tuscany when you enter Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici, located in the magnificent Colavita Center for Italian Food and Wine. The á la carte menu features the seasonal ingredients and authentic flavor combinations of this much-beloved cuisine as well as a diverse selection of Italian wines, beers, and apéritifs. The smaller, casual Al Forno dining room has an antipasto bar, wood-fired oven, and views of the kitchen—perfect for a light meal. St. Andrew’s Café—Local and Sustainable Fare

The award-winning St. Andrew’s Café exemplifies the farm-to-table movement. The á la carte menu highlights locally and sustainably sourced ingredients prepared using both American and European culinary traditions. In 2009, St. Andrew’s Café received a two-star certified restaurant designation from the Green Restaurant Association. Learn What Goes On Inside the CIA

The CIA offer public tours given by current CIA students on Monday at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Tuesday–Friday at 4 p.m., when classes are in session. Tours cost $6 per person. Reservations are strongly suggested. For more information or to schedule a tour, call 845-451-1588 (Monday–Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.). Group tours (groups more than 20) for restaurant guests may be schedule by calling 845-451-1544.
