The philosophy at Loomis Plastic Surgery is to combine the latest in science and medicine with timeless artistic beauty. In practice since 1992, Dr. Loomis is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. He received a degree in Biology from Cornell University, his medical degree from The University of Vermont, did his residency training at Northwestern University, and is in the AOA Medical Honor Society. Dr. Loomis has always taken a lead in bringing the latest technological advances and innovations to his patients, while making their safety his top priority. He was one of the first in the New York area to perform endoscopic breast augmentations and endoscopic forehead lifts which are done without incisions on the breasts or the traditional forehead lift scars. He began providing fat-sparing eyelid surgery 16 years ago at a time when few surgeons in this country were considering it. He has made a number of personal innovations to minimize the necessary incisions with breast surgery and has extensive experience with the vertical breast reduction technique, as well as minimal incision breast lifts. He has explored and utilized a number of new liposuction techniques and technologies over the years. He has incorporated these liposuction techniques with advanced quilting suture abdominoplasties which avoid the need for drains, allowing patients to shower the first day after surgery. In keeping with this desire to bring his patients the latest advances, Dr. Loomis has been researching the science of fat grafts in his own cell culture research lab in which he has isolated adult stem cells from human fat. He was recently appointed to the funding committee of The New York State Stem Cell Board, which oversees the multimillion dollar budget for stem cell research in New York State. Dr. Loomis is committed to serving the people of our area with honesty and integrity. He lives in Orange County with his wife and four children. In 2008, they were awarded the Knights of Columbus, International Family of The Year, and were subsequently invited by The Vatican to represent North America at the World Meeting of Families in Mexico City. He makes annual trips to Nicaragua and Honduras to provide Plastic Surgery free of charge to the poor, and was joined on his last trip by his wife, and his office nurses. In the office, he provides computer imaging to help patients better understand the goals and limitations of surgery, and for those who decide to go ahead, the office has financing plans available.
