Dr. Marc Tack, Medical Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston and past president of the hospital’s medical staff, is a doctor of Internal Medicine specializing in the treatment of acute and chronic infections and in the prevention and management of health problems of international travelers.

Dr. Tack earned his osteopathic medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency, including a term as chief resident, at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. After his residency, he did a two-year, multihospital fellowship in Infectious Diseases in Providence, Rhode Island, through Brown University’s Alpert Medical School. Dr. Tack received additional clinical and lab-based research training during his fellowship and taught Infectious Diseases to interns, residents, and medical students. He is now often called upon to act as a consultant to other physicians to help solve puzzling Infectious Disease diagnostic problems.

Dr. Tack is the past President of the Ulster County Board of Health and Adjuvant Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
