During consultation, she discusses each patient’s concerns in front of a mirror. She then outlines an overall treatment plan that may include different lasers and devices, soft tissue fillers, neuromodulators and a topical skin regimen. “With products like Restylane®, Juvederm®, Radiesse® and Sculptra®, I have the ability to pick and choose which one will be most effective based on a patient’s needs,” says Dr. Waldorf, who also uses neuromodulators like BOTOX Cosmetic® and Dysport® to relax muscles and even stimulate a chemical brow lift.

Among new techniques is FRAXEL re:store DUAL®, a non-invasive facial resurfacing treatment. It allows Dr. Waldorf to treat deeper concerns such as wrinkles and acne scarring, as well as more surface-related concerns such as sun spots, tone and texture, with minimal downtime.

Also offered is Thermage CPT®. “It’s the gold standard for tissue tightening,” says Dr. Waldorf. With this procedure, radio frequency waves are used to transmit heat deep into the skin to cause collagen contraction and remodeling. Patients see immediate results, with additional improvement over six months. Only one treatment is needed for most patients, and results can last two years.

“People want to look natural and don’t want sudden, radical changes,” she says. While embracing a very personal, individualized approach, her goal is to make all of her patients look like “a more rested, rejuvenated version of themselves.” Dr. Waldorf stresses regular sun protection and recommends they return for a total body examination. “I’m concerned that too many people go to spas to get ‘cosmetic’ treatments for things that turn out to be skin cancer,” she says.

Dr. Waldorf graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where she also completed her Dermatology residency. She received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
