Celebrate July Fourth — everyone’s favorite summer holiday — with fireworks at these Valley locations:
July 2: Lake Carmel’s annual fireworks spectacle (off Rte. 52 in Kent) begins at 9 p.m.
July 4: Clermont State Historic Site (www.friendsofclermont.org) in Germantown celebrates the fourth with music, entertainment, and food. Fireworks begin at sundown ($8 per vehicle, $10 after 8 p.m.).
July 4: The Village of Saugerties hosts its Fourth of July parade starting at 11 a.m. Catch the pyrotechnics in Cantine Field beginning at dusk.
July 4: Cornwall’s Riverlight Park hosts its annual fireworks beginning at 9:45 p.m. Daytime activities include a pie eating contest at noon, music throughout the afternoon, and a parade beginning at 5 p.m.
July 4: Poughkeepsie’s Fourth of July fireworks can be seen from Waryas Park or from atop the Walkway Over the Hudson. Wristbands, which are sold for $10 prior to the event, allow visitors access to the Walkway. » Read our article on Poughkeepsie’s fireworks show here
July 4: The City of Newburgh fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Catch them from afar at Beacon’s Memorial Park or enjoy musicians and vendors at Newburgh’s waterfront park.
