Liberty Public House, Rhinebeck: American Dining and Cuisine in Dutchess County (Mini Restaurant Review)

American dining and cuisine at Liberty Public House in Rhinebeck, NY

Photograph by Jennifer May

At this circa 1860 tavern, American independence is celebrated in style with a giant 48-star flag engulfing one wall, and a red-white-and-blue color scheme on the tables. Classic American fare — like pork chops, hickory-smoked ribs, and skirt steak — reigns supreme. But it’s ordering the Liberty Burger served with Freedom Fries that makes diners truly feel like they are giving Uncle Sam a proper salute. Lunch and dinner daily.
