With wonderful views of the Shawangunk Ridge, this casual spot specializes in hearty German fare — with a variety of craft beers (like Kingston’s own Keegan Ales) to wash it down. Traditional offerings (schnitzel, sauerbraten, strudel) share the menu with diner favorites like curry wurst. The smoked beef sausage is served on a pretzel roll with curried sauerkraut and a house-made catsup spiced with curry, cumin, and paprika. For dessert, the schatzies — chocolate-filled pretzel bites — are proving to be very popular.
