Little leapers

May 4: Evening Frog Walk Adventurous amphibians are all over the Valley. Feel like a professional frog monitor as you search for the slimy critters. Learn all about their habits and how to identify them by their different “ribbits” during this evening hunt. Don’t forget your flashlight! Recommended for ages 5 and up. 7:30 p.m. $5. Beautiful ballerinas

May 5-6: The Snow Queen Little lovers of dance don’t have to travel to NYC to see a ballet. The Catskill Ballet Theatre ­— a group comprised of both professional and local dancers — performs Hans Christian Andersen’s masterpiece on stage. Graceful dancers and orchestral music tell the tale of two friends who overcome the wicked Snow Queen and celebrate the coming of spring. May 11: Clifford the Big Red Dog Live Clifford and his friends from Birdwell Island mark his 50th anniversary with new adventures. Art on parade

May 19: Phools Parade Show off your artistic style at this annual event. Artists big and small march down Main Street with their custom costumes, sculptures, and floats.
