Now Open for Business: PAKT Restaurant and Catering in Kingston

A new Kingston eatery combines a dash of Southern flair with health-conscious dishes

Whipping up traditional Southern fare is no easy feat, especially for us northerners. That’s why Eryn Stutts created PAKT Restaurant and Catering in Kingston in the hopes of educating Valleyites on how Southern classics are supposed to taste. The Georgia and North Carolina native offers favorite preparations that are both health-conscious and affordable, all the while focusing on ways to positively impact and sustain the local community.

The counter-service joint serves brunch “all damn day.” Popular dishes include biscuit and gravies (you get a flight of four types) and chicken-fried steak ’n eggs, all made with locally sourced ingredients as well as some of Stutts’ own fixings from back home. Catfish, crab cakes, and pulled pork also make an appearance on the menu. In a hurry? PAKTSnacks include fried green tomatoes with peach shallot jam, and black-eyed pea hummus you can scoop up with pieces of crostini.

PAKT is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Stutts plans to update the menu monthly, so even the most loyal patrons can try something different.
