Two new properties have opened on the Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort campus within the past six months. The Alder at Resorts World Catskills, a 101-guest room boutique hotel, joins the resort’s main all-suite hotel. And just down Resorts World Drive is The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark, New York’s largest indoor waterpark.
This boutique hotel, which opened in January, aims to attract a more youthful clientele with the same luxury experience offered at the main casino hotel, but on a smaller scale and price point. The 325 sq ft guest rooms are outfitted with a king or two queen-size beds, a 55-inch flat-screen TV, wall-mounted toiletries dispensers, and other custom details. The Alder at Resorts World Catskills is just a 40-second walk from the main casino resort, where Alder guests have access to the 100,000 square feet of gaming space, Crystal Life Spa, and luxury indoor pool and fitness center within the Resorts World Catskills hotel.
What to Do Nearby
But there is plenty to do at The Alder to keep you busy. Relax on one of the couches surrounding an innovative Aquafire faux “firepit.” Stay on top of your game at one of two Top Golf “swing suites,” cozy, curtained alcoves across from the bar where you can practice your swing on a virtual course — or grab your friends and crush “zombies” in Zombie Dodgeball. For food and drink, Dos Gatos Cantina in the lobby features fresh Mex in a cantina-style setting and a bar that serves more than 120 types of tequila. (Resorts World Catskills has 10 dining options in all.)
The lobby reflects The Alder’s targeted millennial clientele with a rustic/industrial style and open-concept flexible space. Garage doors along one wall of Dos Gatos open up to a patio, where guests can enjoy the fresh Catskills air.
“This year marks an exciting chapter in the growth of Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort as we realize our vision to become the region’s premier all-season integrated casino resort destination,” says Kevin Kline, COO and general manager of Resorts World Catskills.

The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark
This two-acre waterpark, which is scheduled to open April 19, brings family-friendly fun to the campus and the region. The 324-suite luxury hotel includes the indoor waterpark that’s a constant 84 degrees, with a unique Texlon transparent roof that invites the sun’s tanning rays (wear sunscreen!). Indulge at the indoor beach or ride the waves on the Flowrider, Krakken, and other rides and slides. Private cabanas bring world-class service to your lounge chair. In addition to the waterpark, there’s a ropes course, an arcade, bowling alley, and other activities along with casual and fine dining options.
And good news for locals: day passes are also available for the waterpark!
