Middletown
The 411: Settled in the foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains, Middletown is home to some of Orange County’s biggest employers, including Orange County Community College, Horton Memorial Hospital, and the Middletown Psychiatric Center. The county’s award-winning newspaper, the Times Herald-Record, is also located here.
Downtown Middletown features lovely historic Victorian homes and churches, and the city offers lots of shopping, movie theaters, the Thrall Library, the historic Paramount Theatre, and a lively bar and growing restaurant scene.
