Brasserie 292 Restaurant, Poughkeepsie: American and French Food in Dutchess County (Mini Restaurant Review)

American and French dining at Brasserie 292 Restaurant in Poughkeepsie, NY

The Queen City hot spot — and winner of this year’s Best New Restaurant — is decorated with white subway-tiled walls, red booths, huge mirrors, and a tin ceiling gleaming in copper paint, all of which adds to its casually elegant ambiance. The brilliant blend of Parisian and vintage Americana-style fare includes mussels with razor-thin fries, crispy duck confit, and — naturally — the Brasserie burger, complete with brioche bun.
