We’ll soon learn if we have a Democratic or Republican president. Call us impatient, but to gain some insight while we’re waiting, we decided to see how the region’s voting has politically leaned in the past. We collected data on the results from the 2012 General Election and the 1992 General Election to see which party has been gaining or losing ground the fastest. (Only counties with available data from both elections are included.) Here’s what we found:
