Let your style soar this season with military- and aviator-themed ensembles — punched up with just a touch of glam — for both ladies and gents

The military trend is no foe to fashion: This classic style regularly leads the charge on runways across the globe. We set our sights a little higher, drawing inspiration from the slick flyboys and glamorous pin-up gals of the ’40s and ’50s. Take flight this fall with these aviator-inspired outfits.

<h3>Our Location: <a href="http://www.hvmag.com/Hudson-Valley-Magazine/Hudson-Valley-Resources/Sports/index.php?listing=18411" target="_blank">Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome</a></h3> Founded in the 1960s by renowned aviator James Henry “Cole” Palen — whose famous catchphrase was “No problem, it’ll fly” — the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is touted as America’s original living museum of antique aircraft. It also boasts one of the world’s largest collections of planes, featuring a Wright Flyer and Ryan NYP (New York to Paris), a reproduction of Charles Lindbergh’s <i>Spirit of St. Louis</i>. <br> The museum displays more than 85 antique engines and ground vehicles, including Ford Model T cars and a Renault tank.<br> Today, the Aerodrome regularly hosts airplane rides, air shows, and other family-friendly events.
