Slow-Cooker Vanilla and Cinnamon Applesauce Recipe
It's tasty, easy, and nothing like the grocery store variety.
Quick and easy, this recipe from notable farm-to-consumer food-distribution company Field Goods bears no resemblance to pre-packaged sauces found on supermarket shelves.
Makes 1 quart
• 15-20 firm apples (such as Gala), peeled and cored
• ¼ cup water, as needed
• 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
• 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1-2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Combine ingredients in slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Mash with wooden spoon. Serve warm or at room temperature.
