In case you’ve been living in a black hole, Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 13. Hopefully by now, you’ve found the perfect present and called in a reservation for the whole family. If not, however, we have you covered. These Hudson Valley eateries still have space at their holiday events…for now. Don’t waste another minute - give one of these spots a call.

Blu Pointe

120 Front St, Newburgh
Dinner 2 - 8 p.m.

Although Blue Pointe is booked for brunch, the Newburgh eatery is still accepting reservations for its Mother’s Day dinner. The special menu includes seafood eats like steamed clams, a whole Maine lobster cocktail, and flash-fried calamari. If mom is a seafood lover, this is the place for her.



4258 US-44, Millbrook
Brunch and dinner 11:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Treat mom to a family-friendly brunch at Charlotte’s in Millbrook. Enjoy a little bit of everything with a hearty spread made of plates like roasted salmon with lemon and dill, chicken mango salad, and sliced Italian ham. The additional dessert buffet with homemade ice cream is a sweet tooth’s paradise.


Diamond Mills Hotel and Tavern

25 South Partition St, Saugerties
Brunch 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This gourmet brunch has so much going on that it’s hard to know where to begin. Sample pastries, place an order at the omelet station, indulge on vanilla cinnamon waffles, and nibble on cheeses from the artisan cheese display. Meat lovers will be over the moon for the rack of lamb, slow roasted prime rib eye, and chicken piccata. Discounted rates are available for children.


Gigi Trattoria

6422 Montgomery St
Lunch and dinner 12 – 9 p.m.

Gigi in Rhinebeck offers lunch and dinner seating on Mother’s Day. Diners can take advantage of the gourmet menu, which spotlights lamb, pasta, and other seasonal springtime specialties.


Henry’s at the Farm

220 North Rd, Milton
Brunch and dinner 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Reservations are a must for brunch or dinner at Henry’s, as they will will be otherwise closed to accommodate buffet dining. Regardless of when you visit, you can pick and choose from the hot and cold buffets, specialty meat stations, and dessert bar. While the entire menu sounds delectable, the omelet bar in the morning and the herb crusted pork loin with whole grain mustard are highlights.

Mohonk Mountain House

Brunch 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Overnight reservations required

Treat mom to one of the most beautiful views in all of the Hudson Valley at Mohonk this Sunday. Everyone will love the assortment of stations, which feature crab cakes and blinis, smoothies, roasted prime rib, omelets, crepes, waffles, pancakes, ramen, pasta, seafood, and, of course, dessert. Good luck deciding where to begin.

Lunch and dinner 12 – 8 p.m.

Show mom how much you care by treating her to lunch or dinner at Terrapin. Whether you opt for the prix fix dinner menu in the dining room or the regular bistro menu at the Red Bistro, mom will swoon over specials like the truffled fig, brie, and roasted shallot quesadilla and the artichoke and ricotta ravioli. P.S. Terrapin is an ideal spot for vegans and vegetarians.
