This has been a tumultuous week for jammers in the Hudson Valley. First, we shed a tear or two when we heard Mountain Jam, the Hudson Valley’s premier summer music fest, isn’t returning to Hunter Mountain for the first time in 14 years. The forecast grew even bleaker when we were left helpless without any hint about the location for this year’s fest. Would it return to the Hudson Valley? Would it move — gasp — out of state?

Today, our fears are no more. As of 2019, Mountain Jam will take place at the birthplace of true music festivals, the home of good times and tunes in the Hudson Valley, the iconic Bethel Woods.

Yes, it’s true. On June 13-16, Mountain Jam will rock the stage at the home of the original 1969 Woodstock festival, the very same festival that happens to be celebrating its 50th birthday this year.

As if that wasn’t sweet enough, Mountain Jam, which is presented by Radio Woodstock and Warren Haynes, also announced an incredible lineup of performers for 2019. Leading the show are Willie Nelson & Family, Gov’t Mule (who will perform two sets), and The Avett Brothers. Later this spring, a fourth headliner will be announced as well.

On top of that, more than 25 top artists take the stage over the course of the four days, including The Revivalists, jam giant Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Dispatch, Alison Krauss, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Vermont mainstay Twiddle, and the reggae forefather Toots & The Maytals. Best of Hudson Valley winners The Big Takeover will also perform on the jam-packed set list.

Early bird passes go on sale beginning this Friday at 10 a.m. until Monday, February 11 at midnight. For more information about tickets and camping at Bethel Woods, visit Mountain Jam’s website.
